As a first-year San Jose State University graduate student with over four years in public service and two years as a Library Assistant at the City of Inglewood Public Library, I have gained a thorough understanding of library operations and a solid commitment to community engagement. Drawing from my background, I understand the significance of advocating for professional development. As a CLA Student Representative nominee, I aim to foster connections between MLIS students and library professionals, emphasize the importance of community empowerment and literacy, and encourage them to become influential leaders and valuable team members of tomorrow.
