Join us for a one-hour overview of AI and the Future of Libraries. We will define what AI and Generative AI are, do a brief demonstration, and discuss how AI is/will likely to be used in libraries along with pros and cons, and how to best prepare your LIS workforce to best make use of this technology.

Graphic Novels & Comics Interest Group Presents Therapeutic Zine Meeting

What is a zine?! Put simply, a zine is a self-published work created to express
one’s thoughts, feelings, experiences, and/or creativity. Zines come in many different shapes, sizes, and formats. In this program, LAPL Librarian Ziba Perez will give an approximately 20-minute presentation on her work with zines and the creation of the LAPL Zine Library. This presentation will be followed by a therapeutic zine making session, in which participants will have the opportunity to destress, collaborate, and connect with other library workers and zine enthusiasts. All supplies will be
provided.
