Put simply, a zine is a self-published work created to express one’s thoughts, feelings, experiences, and/or creativity. Zines come in many different shapes, sizes, and formats. In this program, LAPL Librarian Ziba Perez will give an approximately 20-minute presentation on her work with zines and the creation of the LAPL Zine Library. This presentation will be followed by a therapeutic zine making session, in which participants will have the opportunity to destress, collaborate, and connect with other library workers and zine enthusiasts.
