Biography & Candidate StatementI am a dedicated library professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. When I graduated from college with a BA in English from Sacramento State University, I wanted to pursue a career in teaching. After substitute teaching for a few years in K-12 classrooms, I decided to choose a different path. My love of reading and dedication to public service led me into library sciences. I earned my MLIS degree from San Jose State University while working full time as an LMTA at a local community college.
I guess I could be called a jack-of-all-trades librarian, having worked in school, academic, public and prison settings. I am currently the Senior Librarian at Mule Creek State Prison.
I am running for the office of Board Member at Large because I love the California Library Association. I want to make sure the true diversity of our |
