Acclaimed author, former Los Angeles poet laureate, and peace activistLuis J. Rodriguez will be in conversation with an immensely talented young poet who is currently detained at the Juvenile Justice Center. The conversation will be moderated bySean San Jose, Bay Area theater maker, UC Berkeley Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies Faculty, and artistic director of the Magic Theater.

The interaction between Luis Rodriguez, our young poet and our moderator, Sean San Jose really blew me out of the water.  I think it’s going to be an amazingly powerful day.
