During this time to reconnect with our fellow Literacy program staff across the state, we will discuss IG business such as the call for nominations for the Outstanding Librarian in Support of Literacy Award and establishing a nomination review committee. We will also take time to learn about CLA's new MyCLA social networking area to get acquainted with its features for staying connected and sharing information as an Interest Group. Hello CLA Literacy Interest Group! I hope you are all doing well as we approach the end of a busy year! We will be holding a CLA Literacy Interest Group Meetup on Thursday, December 9th at 10am via Zoom to reconnect with our fellow Literacy program staff across the state. Additionally, CLA has launched a new website called MyCLA, and this session will be an opportunity to get acquainted with its features for staying connected and sharing information as an Interest Group. Holly Macriss will be joining us to present on the cool, new features and best practices for navigating the website. Lastly, it’s already that time of year again to be thinking about the Outstanding Librarian in Support of Literacy Award! We will be announcing a call for nominations in the near future. If you are interested in being on the nomination review committee, we are looking for volunteers to review submission and select the award recipient. We can discuss further details at the Zoom Meetup, as well. We hope to see you there! Micelle Gee
