A short time ago, in a galaxy near, near by… Library professionals would gather together at cantinas, to share tips, strategies, and advice, to share work triumphs and tragedies with their colleagues, and to simply hang out and enjoy tasty libations together. Well, right now on our own strange planet, where it’s often challenging to tell the facts from the bantha fodder, we can’t gather in the flesh, but we certainly can do some distant socializing.
In that spirit, we scruffy-looking nerf herders on the CLA Membership Committee are putting together a virtual cantina on Monday, May 4th. Perhaps you and your library had elaborate plans to say to the communities you serve, “May the Fourth Be With You”, only to see those plans meet the same fate as the Jar Jar Binks spin-off.
We’re offering you the opportunity to drown your sorrows in Fuzzy Tauntauns (BYOFT) with your fellow library professionals/Star Wars fans in a virtual wretched hive of scum and villainy.
