“Marketing Strategies from PRExcellence Winners” webinar series


A group of 2018 PRExcellence Award Winners share the strategies they used to implement a winning marketing plan. Presenters will cover creating a marketing plan, implementing the plan, and evaluating the plan using their projects as a case study. These webinars will give a more in-depth look into how the best marketing campaigns are created.


“Keeping it Consistent…” Library Branding

What is branding? How does corporate branding and not-for-profit branding differ? How necessary is branding for a library? What are the benefits? What are the drawbacks?

This webinar takes a look at what branding means in a library and how one library system was given the opportunity to rebrand and what they learned.

Tom Ramont is the Outreach/Marketing Coordinator for Shasta Public Libraries in Northern California. Previous to joining the team in Shasta County, he worked as part of an international corporate marketing communications team and focused on shooting product photography and videos.

"Maximizing Content for Multiple Communication Channels"

Lesley Seacrist, project and communication manager of San Jose State University's Martin Luther King Jr., Library will present on how to maximize content for different communication channels. She will evaluate audience, framing and redistribution techniques to recycle content to save time, save money and save the message.

Lesley Seacrist is the project and communication manager for SJSU King Library. She received a Masters in Communication Studies in spring, 2019 semester but has been in higher education since 2011 working in multiple roles. She is dedicated to student success and believes when student's use their library, they will be more successful.
