BETH WRENN-ESTES RETIRING AS CLA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Beth Wrenn-Estes is retiring as Executive Director of the California Library Association (CLA) effective March 31st,2025. Beth has served in several positions with CLA including volunteering as a member, Board Member, and Treasurer before joining the staff as Business Manager in 2017. She has been Executive Director for the past two years. Her tenure demonstrates her commitment to organizational excellence and financial stewardship.
In addition to her work with CLA, Beth’s induction into the California Libraries Hall of Fame in October of 2024 showcases her many contributions to the profession. She has been a lecturer for San Jose State University for over 12 years, winning such accolades as the iSchool's Outstanding Teacher Award and The Most Distinguished Faculty Service Award. Her research pursuits and commitment to education ensure a legacy both within California and nationally, and her unwavering dedication to advancing the mission of libraries and empowering communities through knowledge and literacy is truly deserving of recognition and celebration.
