CLA supports ALA's efforts for intellectual freedom

The California Library Association supports the work of the American Library Association, library staff, and library advocates everywhere in affirming the freedom to read, view, inquire, explore, learn, and share ideas and perspectives.  We stand with and honor all those engaging in this work with policies, collections, displays, programs, and promotions.  All of this work and effort helps to ensure that all in our communities know that their needs, aspirations, presence, and value are not forgotten by their library. We remain stalwart defenders against censorship and infringement of the core values of intellectual freedom and the right to free, equitable, and confidential access to information. Further, we uphold the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights.
