As required by Governor Newsom’s executive order, the California Broadband Council released its Broadband For All Action Plan. The Public Utilities Commission estimates the cost to provide broadband to unserved and underserved communities $5.6 to 6.7 billion based on the speed of the connection. Libraries are mentioned throughout the report thanks to the efforts of State Librarian Greg Lucas, Anne Neville-Bonilla, Director of the California Research Bureau, and CLA through its advocacy efforts with the Council.
