Interested in hosting an event?

Calling all California Youth Services staff, librarians and friends!

You spoke, we listened. Let's get together across the state and get to know other youth service providers in comfortable, non-work environments.  Meet up for beverages at bars and coffee shops, for some competition playing mini golf or bocce: pick your perfect location to hang out with youth services folks. We are asking members to host get togethers and socialize.  Simply select a location, invite 5 youth services staff you know and ask them to invite their Youth Services contacts. Suddenly you’ve made your own DIY YSIG Spring Fling. Think of it as a less ominous chain letter!

Our goal - to socially collect youth services providers around the state to meet, discuss, and get to know each other. The foundation of our organization is to connect us together.  We all have amazing conversations about the work we do but not everyone can make the trip to an in person conference. We want to facilitate the meeting where you are.

To host an event simply

1. Select a time and location
2. Fill out this form:
3. Invite everyone you know

We’ll post the event details online, share it with everyone in the interest group and be available if you want advice on hosting an event or are socially awkward like us and want some conversation topics.

Afterwards we’d love to see photos of you having fun, listen to interesting topics that came up, and hear your best Youth Services horror stories.

Check back frequently as more locations get posted.
