First Steps in Coding and Data Exploration for Libraries

April 24, 2020

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

San Diego Public Library – Central Library

330 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101

Join us for a long lunch (provided) to perform simple data analysis on library circulation data using the Python programming language. Librarians and staff with and without programing experience are encouraged to attend.

We look forward to answering your questions, increasing your familiarity with coding as a professional Swiss Army knife, and helping you create your own path to learning more. The discussion will also be informative for libraries exploring coding opportunities for their communities.

Participants will use the Anaconda environment and the Spyder IDE. Participants should bring their own laptop if possible; we will provide equipment if not. Parking is not provided.
