The 112th Annual California Library Association Conference & Exhibition will take place in Sacramento, CA, from November 12-15, 2010. This year's theme, as selected by President Kim-Bui Burton, will be titled Navigating the New.

A Call for Proposals will be launched in late February of 2010. In the meantime, post-2009 Conference survey results should be helpful in formulating new workshop ideas:

Most Important Workshop Tracks to 2009 Conference Attendees

1. Technology
2. Community Outreach
3. Management
4. Adult/Reference
5. Marketing & Public Relations

Most Wanted Workshop Topics for the 2010 Conference in Sacramento

2. Customer Service
3. Grant Writing
4. Leadership/Mentoring
5. Funding

This year, 81% of survey respondents gave CLA workshops positive remarks. We look forward to increasing the value and satisfaction with next year's workshops, and as such, eagerly await hearing your proposals for CLA's 2010 Conference!

An announcement will be made in February with proposal acceptance dates and guidelines.
