California Library Association Names Interim Executive Director
The President of the California Library Association, Monique A. le Conge, announced today that the CLA Executive Committee has named Claudia Foutz from the Foutz & Young Group, as the Association's Interim Executive Director. According to le Conge, Ms. Foutz was hired to assess the current association's business functions and help determine the best management business structure for the future. She will also be responsible for the day to day operations and will assist in helping the association transition in to a new business model that will thrive in a digital, mobile and virtual world.
Foutz has a tenured career in assessing both non-profit and government agencies and helping to determine the best structure for excellence, optimal performance, association growth and financial stability. Known as a change agent by many, Ms. Foutz was publically credited for a complete turn around of the Arizona Medical Board in 2004 bringing them to number 1 in the nation for regulatory performance. Before establishing her consulting business, Ms. Foutz served as CEO of several state associations and government agencies.
