ALA Election Underway; CLA Members on the Ballot

The American Library Association election is now underway, and a number of California Library Association members are on the ballot for Council and for Division positions. Running for ALA Councilor-at-Large positions are Diane Duquette, Kern County Library Director; Monique Le Conge, Director of the Richmond Public Library (the ALA ballot may still list her at her previous position in Benicia); and Ana-Elba Pavon, Children's Services Manager, San Francisco Public Library, Mission Branch. State Librarian Susan Hildreth is on the ballot for the Public Library Association (PLA) presidency, and Dan Fuller, San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science, is on the AASL ballot to represent Educators of Library Media Specialists Section. As information on other division candidates for election becomes available, we will update this list. Be sure to vote in the current ALA election, as California needs to be heard within ALA. The CLA election will be held in July.
