Individual Voting Membership

Librarians & library support staff employed in libraries.

Students enrolled in graduate programs of library and information science or in LTA programs at the college level.

Trustees, retirees, individuals in between jobs, library supporters.

Individuals interested in the development, promotion, and improvement of library services, who wish to vote in CLA elections and be eligible to serve on committees and participate in Interest Groups.

Those who wish to support CLA's programs and advocacy efforts, but not participate in elections, committees, or interest groups, or run for office.

Individuals choosing a Supporting Membership must not be employed in a California library.

$25 annually

Institutional Memberships can be based on either the calendar year (Jan 1-Dec 31) or fiscal year (July 1-June 30) according to the institution’s preference.

Annual institutional membership dues are assessed according to the institution’s current annual operating expenditure:

$20,000,000 and over $1,800

$10,000,000 - $19,999,999 $1,200

$5,000,000 - $9,999,999 $1,000

$2,000,000 - $4,999,999 $ 750

$1,000,000 - $1,999,999 $600

$500,000 - $999,999 $ 500
