This month, CLA Insider comprises an annual report from the CLA management team to the CLA membership for the period July 2011-June 2012. We intend for this report to become an annual tradition that will ensure that you are kept fully informed about your association.
In spring 2011, your CLA Board of Directors signed a contract with Partners in Collaboration (PIC) to start managing the California Library Association as of June 1, 2011. PIC is a partnership between Califa and the Southern California Library Cooperative (SCLC), which was formed specifically for the purpose of managing CLA.
PIC staff members provide all the services associated with running a successful organization: administration, membership services, IT services, and financial services. PIC is committed to growing the association, keeping tight control of the finances, providing the membership with good reasons to keep renewing, AND putting on a successful annual conference that will draw attendees and exhibitors!
We thank you for your membership of CLA. Together, we can keep California libraries strong. Now, on to the reports that will bring you up-to-date on what your colleagues have been doing!
