Derek Wolfgram is Deputy County Librarian for Community Libraries and
Human Resources at Santa Clara County Library District. Previously, he served as County Librarian of Butte County Library, and he held five different positions during 10 years with Denver Public Library in Colorado. Derek received his BA in psychology from Bowling Green State University in 1993 and his MLS from Kent State University in 1996.

Derek attended the Stanford-California State Library Institute on 21st Century Librarianship in 2001, and he received the CLA Outstanding Librarian in Support of Literacy award in 2009. In the last couple of years, Derek has also discovered the joy of running, and he ran his first half marathon in Montreal in 2010.
