Grow Thyself: Making the Transition from Student to Professional
More than 30 students from library programs including UCLA, SJSU, Pasadena City College, UC Riverside, the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and the University of North Texas/CSUN came together at UCLA, on June 3, for a Spring Fling workshop on making the transition from student to professional.
Panelists spoke about their library school and professional experiences and discussed core competencies, networking, and personal and professional branding, and attendees had the opportunity to network and socialize with fellow students and future colleagues.
The workshop was free of charge and was presented jointly by CLA's Student Interest Group and the UCLA Department of Information Studies.
"Thanks for a great workshop!"
