Grow Thyself: Making the Transition from Student to Professional
More than thirty students and new professionals attended a free career development workshop in Ontario on Saturday, April 23, where they received guidance on making the transition from student to library professional, choosing an area to specialize in and selecting courses to take.
Workshop panelists spoke about their library school and professional experiences and discussed core competencies, networking, and personal and professional branding, and attendees had the opportunity to network and socialize with fellow students and future colleagues.
The workshop was organized and presented free of charge by CLA’s Student Interest Group.
“Excellent workshop! Thanks!”
