The California Library Association sponsors a mentoring program for all CLA members. As a mentor, you will serve your profession and experience the satisfaction of helping a colleague develop personally and professionally. You will help open networking doors for your protégé, and you will build your own interpersonal, communication and helping skills.

As a protégé, you will learn from another's professional experience, gain encouragement and support from someone who cares for your personal and professional growth, and you will establish important networking relationships.

Both mentors and protégés have an opportunity to explore professional concerns and current issues in librarianship.

You are invited to be a mentor or protégé today. To be eligible, you must be a current personal member of CLA, commit to a 7-month program, and submit your application between August 1 and October 15.
