Day in the District 2009

Important Information

Thanks to everyone who participated in Day in the District meetings on January 30 and February 6. We are still gathering statistics on the number of Legislators our contacts successfully arranged meetings with, and on the number of participants that attended to discuss library issues.

A special thanks to all the people who served as contacts for these meetings; the CLA Legislative Committee members know that this was a challenging year to make appointments with the State budget unsettled and national economy declining, and your perseverance was greatly appreciated. For all the participants who used this as an opportunity to highlight the broad range of services that we offer and the number of lives we touch each day, thank you! Remember to save the date for CLA / CLSA Legislative Day in Sacramento on April 15, 2009.

We'll look forward to seeing you then!
