Who We Are
Student Interest Group membership is open to all CLA members.
What We Do
- Provide formal and informal networking and professional development opportunities for current and recent library students.
- Enhance the possibilities for mentoring relationships between CLA student members and experienced library professionals.
Member Communication
Members of the Student Interest Group are invited to join the our e-mail discussion list--a virtual round table space designed to augment face-to-face networking and professional development opportunities and to be a source of information and help for members. To subscribe to this list, or to make changes to your subscription information, click here.
You are also invited to join the Student Interest Group discussion boards. The boards allow you to create topics and seek feedback on issues important to student members.
You also will want to regularly visit the Student Interest Group weblog, CLA Facebook and Twitter pages for announcements and important information.
Student members are encouraged to submit original articles and/or news links to California Libraries, CLA's monthly e-newsletter. To make a submission, please email info@cla-net.org with the subject heading "California Libraries Submission."
