Following a major reorganization and reorientation, the California Library Association (a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization) will position itself as a leading voice for all of the state's library institutions, and the people who use them, work in them and for them. The new Executive Director/CEO will be critical to the development and success of a more strategic orientation grounded in a firm business plan. The position will be located in an Association Management Firm yet to be determined.

Our Vision

Infrastructure improvements will be initiated to enable operational efficiency and service excellence.

CLA is fast tracking the application and review process. Applications will be reviewed immediately and preliminary telephone interviews will be scheduled for qualified candidates during the month of May. Finalists will be invited to Sacramento for a final interview following the application deadline of May 21, 2009.
