- To acknowledge an outstanding individual in Technical Services with our TSIG Award of Achievement
- To contribute to the overall success of the California Library Association
Member Communication
Members of TSIG are invited to join the TSIG e-mail listserv. This tool provides a forum for librarians, support staff and others interested in technical services, to explore and discuss interests and concerns affecting the operation of technical services activities in California libraries. Members can discuss issues reflecting the broad range of activities of acquisitions, cataloging and preservation.

TSIG Awards
Each year, TSIG sponsors two awards: the TSIG Award of Achievement and the TSIG New Leader Award. The TSIG New Leader Award was presented for the first time at CLA's Annual Conference in San Jose to "future cataloger" Michael Smith. The 2009 TSIG New Leader Award winner was Sarah Buchanan who has been an active TSIG Board member. Nomination details for 2010 awards will be announced in later summer.
